The picture on the left is before any construction. My dream was to move the fridge over where the washer is (far back corner) and open up the wall where the fridge currently stands.During the month of June the pantry (which you can't see here) was removed because they had to replumb for moving the washer into the garage.
In July, we packed a few things up, knowing the kitchen demo would begin soon. Over the past weekend, we moved everything out of the kitchen and into the living room or the back bedroom with the promise that the demo would begin on Wednesday.
Workers were here when I left this morning and said they could finish the job in just a few hours. I came home to find everything gone and a new plastic wall dividing the living area from the construction area. The wall even has a cool zipper so we can get into the backyard when we want to. More pictures are available here.

looks like you have a good number of very good decisions. keep up the good work and the sharing. Gary
Looks nice. Brown is great at times. I like it on old bikes and for a comfortable sweater. But I would go for the Sugar White walls with Blue trim and Yellow or Black pulls. Black framed pictures. Swanky. Best of luck regardless!
hi laurie..i love your blog and i sure am excited for your new space! since i have been checking out your blog (via karen), i really have to put in my 2 cents and beg you to put a LIGHT color on the kitchen walls....keep it happy!
I can't go with blue trim as the counter has a green tint to it.
Whovever volunteers to paint the living room can choose the kitchen paint color!
